Southern Oregon Housing Market UPdate May 4,2023
Alice Lema: [00:00:00] Well, hey everybody. Here's the local housing statistic update for the week ending Thursday, May 4th, 2023. Let's start with Josephine County. Our year over year price in Josephine County is flat from this time last year. The average price of a single family home in Josephine County will now cost you $454,697. And that is a 0% change from last, this time last year. However, this time last week, it was $1,000 less. We have a number of solds year over year in Josephine County, down 20%. We have the number of listings in Josephine County year over year, down 11%. We have zero closings this week's for foreclosures, zero closing for this week for short sales, and zero closing [00:01:00] for million dollar properties in Josephine County this week.
Klamath Falls year over year price is a increase of 8%. The average price of a Klamath Falls single family home is $329,071. That's up 8%. The number of solds in Klamath County are down 26% from this time last year. The number of listings are also down 18% from this time last year. The number of foreclosures that closed this week are zero. The number of short sales that close this week in Klamath County are zero, and the number of million dollar sales in Klamath County this week are zero.
Jackson county has a few changes. Our prices year over year are up 1% for an average of $501,639 per single family home average in Jackson County, the number of solds year over year are down [00:02:00] 30%. The number of listings in Jackson County are down 19%. We do have two foreclosures in Jackson County that closed this week, one in Phoenix and one in Southwest Medford. We had zero short sales that closed this week.
And we had 3 -million sales in Jackson County this week. We had one in Central Point for 1.7 million. We had one in Ashland for 1.29 million, and we had one in Old East Medford for 1 million even.
